THE TIDAL TREE
~ where art meets nature ~
The Tidal Tree, also known as Becki, “Hi!”
(along with intermittent assistance from husband and two sons) is a sustainable driftwood artist based in Portchester, Hampshire, UK.
We forage for driftwood by hand along our local shorelines and surrounding beaches, which are then transformed in exquisite original wall hanging art and other decor.
We believe that with:
INTEGRITY - we can be committed to and be honest with our customers.
RESPECT - we will be considerate and attentive to everyone’s wishes.
RESPONSIBILITY - we are accountable for the choices we make.
Our purpose is to provide sustainable art that is quirky and unique, evoking nostalgic memories of beach walks and coastal holidays.

ABOUT THE TIDAL TREE
Our Background
Our fondness for all beach treasures grew during the first UK COVID lockdown of 2020. We were all forced to actually slow down. Life usually whizzes by doesn't it? But at this point in time we ALL had a chance to stop and look at things differently.
Beach combing along our local shores of Portchester in Hampshire, was soon a favourite pastime. The opportunity of getting fresh air and looking for all sorts of beach treasures became our salvation. Next we were litter picking as often as we could along the shorelines of Portchester.
It was such a simple and calming experience.

WHAT WE DO WITH OUR BEACHCOMBING FINDS
From a new found love of driftwood, the sea, nature and the need to be creative at such a depressing time, The Tidal Tree was born.
The majority of The Tidal Tree creations are wall reliefs, but these are more than just pretty pieces to hang on your wall.
Each piece of wood itself is an artwork, fitting them all together like a jigsaw can be an amazing form of meditation. It's about letting go and allowing the driftwood to take you on its own journey.

WHY WE SUPPORT ECOLOGI
At The Tidal Tree, we aim to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum by ensuring all materials are sustainable and at their most natural state.
Forests are declining on a global scale. Trees are crucial in preventing ecological collapse, which is why we are passionate about tree conservation and proud to support Ecologi, a B Corp certified environmental organisation who facilitate the funding of astounding carbon offset and tree planting projects around the world.
With each Tidal Tree purchase we give back to the planet through contributions to Ecologi.
